We have had turbochrome for work stations for about a year. We have had ongoing problems with the software aborting during long runs. We are now being told by PE that the problem is that we did not use a Dell computer, but rather one that we had. It has all the necesary file space, etc, and it is dedicated. Has anyone had a similar experience with this software?

We have successfully used TurboChrom on ComPaq computers in the past. We've never experienced this problem on some 18-20 workstations. Since then, we've gone to a client server version, for other reasons.

Not with Turbochrom, but the HP Chemstation had similar issues for a while. HP would not support Chemstation unless it was installed on certain specific models of HP computers. There were issues with certain programs that would run in the background, such as MS Agent. If they configured the computer from scratch, any potentially interfering applications were turned off. I would suggest that you go in and turn off any programs running in the background, especially any task scheduler. Virus checkers can also pose problems, and I have seen issues with some network software.
Sorry I can't be any more specific about your software, but hope the above gives you a few things to try. Good luck.
