i am using waters symeetry c18 cloumn as L1

WE ARE DOING ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS PRODUCTS ON A SAME COLUMN
I LOSE MY EVERY COLUMN IN JUST 2 MONTHS IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT I CAN DEDICATE THE COLUMN FOR PARTICULAT ANALYSIS BECAUSE OF COST FACTOR

AFTER 2 MONTHS MY COLUMS START GIVING FRONTING I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHAT IS THE REASON BEHIND THIS AND CAN BE SOLVED ANYHOW

Here are a few things for you to think about...

1. Columns have a finite lifespan.
2. This lifespan is influenced by many factors including; Nature of the mobil phase (ph, orgainic content), Flow rate, back pressure, makeup of sample (solvents, particulates, temperature, pressure shocks (ramp flows at resonable rates, watch out for column switching) and others.
3. Preventative maintaince helps (filtering of samples and MP), flushing the column with strong organic.

Maybe you have a specific problem that could extend your column life, how about providing some details for the group, there might be a little help out there somewhere.

Anonymous is correct, how about a few details. How many injections are killing your columns? What are the samples (and the purity) you are injecting? What is your mobile phase? pH?

Generic suggestions:

1) Filter your samples (0.2 micron)

2) Filter the aqueous portion of your mobile phase

3) Purchase and use a guard column. Change it often (e.g. 100 - 200 injections or when you see a change in peak shape/efficiency)

4) Call Waters

These should help.

If you have lifetime problems, you should use a guard column. It looks like an additional expense, but you will save on the long run.
