Hello anybody,

I'am looking for a HPLC method to analyze abietic
acid and esters (the alcohol component could be:
methanol, diethyleneglycol, triethyleneglycol, pentaerythrol, glycerol). The used solvents should
be THF or methylene chloride because some of the
esters are only soluble in this solvents.
I tried to develop a method by using a Hypersil
ODS column, but I had no success. The pentaerythrol ester didn't eluate from the column.
The eluent was 100 % acetonitrile. Using a mixture
of THF and methylene chlorid I had no separation
of the peaks. For any tips thanks a lot.

Markus
