Has anyone heard of an LC packing called Lichrospher SC125? A search of the Merck ChromBook and http://www.chromatography.net did not come up with anything relating to such a packing and I wonder if it may be one which has been discontinued.

TIA

Tony

Tony, I went back to the old '94 catalog and couldn't find anything there. That name doesn't ring right, though, because it doesn't follow Merck's standard nomenclature. They tend to name by support / pore size / functionality (e.g., "Lichrospher 100 CN"). Add to that the fact that "125" is kind of an oddball pore size (3 significant figures ?!), and it seems likely that the reference got the name wrong.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the "125" refers to the column length (Merck sells prepacked cartridges in a 125mm length).

Good luck!
