Hallo,

I am new to HPLC. I am needing to try triethylamine. What is good starting concentration for general usage?

Thanks,
Josef

You can use 0.005M, but you can also use 1 ml/l, it's yust trial-and-error. We don't use TEA frequently, because it sticks to the column, and you can't do normal analyses (without TEA) with this column anymore.
Instead of TEA you can use a Select B column or special columns for basic compounds (eg X-Terra from Waters, Hypersil from Alltech) ask your column dealer.
So a general usage isn't a good idea!
