I'm looking for information about typical column failures: air bubbles, cracking and headspace. Do you know where could I get some? I mean books, journals, whatever...
Thank you

Hello Patricio,
one of the best sources is LC-GC journal, or just have a look on the left side of this page. LCResources can provide you with a lot of informations. See also LC-GC journal for John W. Dolan's LC troubleshooting!
Good luck, and keep air bubbles away from your column.
Regards
Gerhard

Hi Patricio,
there are some quite useful pages on the web:
http://www.chromatography.co.uk/TECHNIQS/Default.htm
http://www.dq.fct.unl.pt/QOF/hplcts1.html
http://www.fortunecity.de/lindenpark/lilienthal/8/trouble.html
(unfortunately in german, I don't know if this helps you...)
http://www.hplc1.com/shodex/english/dd.htm
And then there also exists a troubleshooting guide from waters (written by Uwe Neue who - I think - often assists the forum...). There are explained about 50 topics in question-answer-manner and it is quite easy to understand.
I'm sure you can order it from waters.
I hope this may help you...
