I am using Spectra-Physics HPLC to test isoflavoens. The problem I encounter is that the pressure is low (900PSI).Normally the pressure should be 2000PSi.I am wondering hoe to fix this problem. There is no leaking in the system.
Flow rate 1.3ml/min
Pump:SpectraSystem P4000.
Thanks for any helpful advice.
Henry

If your peaks haven't shifted, it could be that the column was blocked, and the blockage has worked its way out. If they have shifted, you could have air in your pump/lines. Purging the pupmp thoughoughly should help. You may also have a worn out valve in the pump. Hope this helps.
