We work on drugs and metabolites in human plasma by LC-MS/MS. It happens sometimes that we have sample contamination during extraction even after throughly cleaing all pipettes and benches with IPA. The contamination is usually severe for LC-MS/MS methods which usually have very low LOQ and we have never had problems with HPLC methods. I am curious what causes such contamination? How should we deal with those "sticky" molecules?
Thank you very much for sharing your thought and experience.

What kind of drugs are you analyzing? It is because we seem to have such a problem too.

You seem to be describing carry-over which has been discussed before. Maybe you did not correctly clean the syringe or injection device??
