Are there any established HPLC methods for analyzing Alanine and Ammonium ion? Any suggestions for column and mobile phase?
Thanks a lot!

Tried an answer yesterday, was not taken, here another try:
NH3/NH4+ is usually a nuisance in HPLC of amino acids via FMOC derivatization and UV or fluorescence detection. Try any of the many examples of FMOC-HPLC in catalogs, etc., with a modern RP (best: Polar endcapped, Aqua, ....) column.
