Dear all,
What is the right model y=ax+b or y=ax^2+bx+c or y=log ax for hplc and ELSD detector calibrations, why?
Thank you for your explanations!

Peter,
An excellent previous discussion about calibration discusses the type of curve and zero intercept question.
ELSD has challenges in adjusting detector conditions. Run analytes at concentrations in your range of interest, repeat the runs and test goodness of fit for your models. Change to matrixed samples and try standard additions, then recheck you model.
