Hello, I would like to learn more about capillary electrophoresis and I need to buy a book. The offer is very wide and I cannot suggest which book is the best for starting with CE. I never worked with CE but I think that it could help me to solve problems with some analytes which are difficult tasks for HPLC (tartrate, gluconate, polyions - all in very complex matrices - i.e. polar and UV absorbing componds). I welcome any advice.
Thanks.

Agilent Technologies have two very useful CD roms which contain a good introduction to the theory as well as many applications. Contact your local distibutor and they will send you them for free.

Could you please let us know the names of the CDs from Agilent?

Thanks in advance!

The CD details are below. If you are based in the UK drop me an e-mail and I'll get some sent to you.

CEC GUIDEBOOK Part no 5968-9892E
CE PARTNER Part no 5968-9893E

If you are not familar with the technique CEC is the chromatography version of CE where packed capillaries are used.

For books, you might try: "Basic HPLC and CE of Biomolecules" by Cunico, Gooding, and Wehr. We just happen to sell it:

There is also a Computer-Based Training course from Savant:
