Dear All,
I have a problem of water content in bonded hyrated molecule. When we are performing the moisture content by KF, we are getting a moisture content of 6 to 7 %. But when we are performing it by TGA (Thermal gravimetry), the results we are getting are less rhan 4%. What may be the reason for that? We are sure that the compound is not reacting with the KF or medium.
Is there any new methods for checking the bonded water? Can you please suggest me.

Dear All
What is the basis for finalising the specification limit for the water content in hydrated molecules(monohydrate, dihydrate, sesquihydrate)? as per the pharmacopoeia also they are giving the various limits for various products. Suppose for a monohydrate theoritical water is 3 %(for sesquihydrate it is 4%, then how can We finalise the limit for that? Can you please help me.
