Hi everyone,

when I read the papers about method development, I should carry out 2 gradient runs (eg 1 over 20 min and 1 over 35 min), and then go to an isocratic method.

Question:
Is it possible to predict the retention time of the peak(s) of interest with the data of the gradient runs (without Drylab or Chromsword)?
Are there formulas for this calculation?

Yes, it is. The formulas have been published. You can look in my book (HPLC Columns), pages 296 ff, or I can quickly type them for you if you give me your e-mail.
