Does anyone have a method they would be willing to share for the analysis of Germall 115 by HPLC? I have tried several different RP Methods, but have had little success, as Germall 115 isn't retained very well on either C18 or Polymeric columns. I cannot obtain the selectivity that I need to separate the Germall 115 from an interferent (Disodium EDTA). I have also not been successful with the ion-pairing reagents I have tried. Any help would be appreciated.

I have also been trying to separate Germall 115 from a complex matrix that includes EDTA. I have tried four different organic mobile phases, plus three different columns, C18, Phenyl, and CN. I wonder if a masking agent to change the EDTA? Also, have you tried derivitizing? We usually form formaldehyde and then derivitize with acetylacetone reagent. This ususally works quite well, except the formula I'm working with know doesn't allow a complete recovery, usually only about 80% or less.

Try buffer contains 0.1M of camphorsulfonic acid.
We received unic selectivity for some amines mixtures.

I have a HPLC Method for analysis of Germall 115. However, I do not know how to attach the PDF file here. Please let me know the email address, I will forward the method over.

Is it absolutely necessary to analyze by HPLC? We use a quick, precise and accurate colorimetric method for the analysis of Germall

I have recently run across an article by E.Sottofattori et al., J.Pharm.Biomed.Anal, 18(1998), 213-217, which deals with determination of Germall 115 and a few other preservatives on CN column. The article looks like giving a good starting point for further method development.
However, we have tested the colorimetry suggested by Allan Mitch and we like it very much.

We are searching for a HPLC-method for Imidurea. We test the Method witch was given in the article, but we had no good results.
Now we are intrested in testing a colorimetric method, do you know were we can get one?
