I was wondering if anyone has come across any type of fraction collector that can hold more than one 96-well plate. I'm currently using the bai Probot, but that only can hold one plate at a time...for high throughput, it's not ideal. i need to run it over night without supervision to increase productivity. any help would be much appreciated.

I suggest you look to a sampler like 222Xl or 215 from Gilson.
Those samplers can perform fraction collection.

I agree that Gilson is the correct company, but the 232 and 215 are a whale of an investment if all that is truly needed is fraction collecting. Any of Gilson's fraction collectors will hold more than one plate. The small units will hold two. To my knowledge, the biggest is the 202 (which is as ugly as a mud fence but works great) that will easily hold six. Check out their fraction collector page at http://www.gilson.com/fraccoll.htm.

I have a Foxy 200 (Isco are the suppliers). It can hold up to 4x96 well plates. It is very reasonably priced and very easy to use. I would strongly suggest checking it out before buying a Gilson.

The Shimadzu FRC-10A can hold 2 titer plates by programming it for 2 custom racks
and using a dual titer plate.

I would suggest you look at the Gilson Web Site.

The 204 will hold 4 plates. If part of an HPLC system you can use the Gilson UniPoint to control a 215 which will collect up to 11 or 12 plates or a 233XL which take 5 FC plates. I hope this helps.
