I'd been working with purification of some
metabolite that were produced extra cellularly.
To purify the substance, i used ion exchange
chromatogram and gel filtration. Now the problem
i face that the substance is along with NaCl and
i can't isolate this NaCl from my desired
substance. The probable molecular mass of the
substance is very low. Would you please suggest
me, how can i isolate my substance?

I've successfully used Alltech silver Maxi-Clean cartridges to remove chlorides prior to ion chromatography; these attach to the end of a syringe just like a filter unit.
