The information available for analysis of Alendronate sodium in tablet formulations is by using the Refractive index Detector.

I am looking for a method without using the above mentioned, instead useing a Uv/Vis detector.

Please help me in this regards

Sodium Alendronate has no real chromophores. If you still want to use UV/VIS detection, you can
a) try low wavelength
b) derivatise (pre or post column)
c) use indirect detection

Another way to go is IC (have no experience myself, but believe it should work)
