Our lab is thinking of getting Waters Millenium32 software to run our GC. We already have our HPLC setup using Millenium 32. I would like to know if anyone is currently running their HPLC & GC at the same time, using the Millenium software. Any information on what we would need to configure our system to run and collect data is greatly appreciated.

We have two alliance LC systems (IEEE connections) and one HP5890 GC (Serial connection) hooked up to one Millenium 32 station. When working with the two LC systems there is no problem. However, when we connect the GC, the other systems tend to fail (or stop running) for unknown reasons. Waters recommend that the 5890 be connected through a SAT-IN module. This module helps to only collect data. The HP5890 can be controlled from outside the Millenium. Waters also mentioned that the higher HP models can be controlled from the software. Hope this is of some help.

My colleague at other institution has problems using autoinjector with control from Millenium - it fails to inject, repeatability is bad. After reconfiguration to use with HP integrator it works perfectly.

Hello all,
we have Millenium in our lab, but it is not possible to control the HP 5890 or 6890. We tried it with the 6890, because Waters said that they can control that GC. Millenium have only the possibility to choose the Carrier Gas flow, but it is not possible to enter setpoints for Make up-gases or detector fuel gases. When Millenium starts it turns of the detector gases.
Only data collection is without any faults.
