Rising baseline in HILIC-separation

Hello everybody,
I tried two different amide columns and a diol column in the HILIC-mode, running gradients from 95% down to 60% acetonitrile. Buffer is NH4acetat 6,5mM. pH 6,8. As soon as the ACN drops under 72% i experience a strong rise of the baseline in the ELSD and in the UV(215nm)-detektor. That ruins the last third of my separations.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot,
Jens

As you increase the water content, your column begins to hydrolyse, and shed bonded phase. ELSD and low UV are very good at detecting this.
