Agilent announced recently that ChemStation Plus and Cerity for Pharmaceutical QA/QC products are being "converged".

Does anybody know what that means in practice? Is ChemStation being phased out? Does Cerity replace ChemStore (hope so)? Is Cerity any good?

I've contacted Agilent, since we are a ChemStation site and they confirmed this is going to happen. There is a white paper on their web site at http://www.chem.agilent.com/scripts/LiteraturePDF.asp?iWHID=34709. They have not indicated any timelines at this stage, so you will need to contact your local rep if you want to get further information.

Cerity is now on version 2.x, though I have not experienced it since an earlier version of 1.x. It is a "fully" integrated product unlike ChemStation/ChemStore which has always been a hybrid system so Pharm companies could comply with 21CFR11 without changing from the familiarity of ChemStation.
