Hi Dear Friends
What can I do to evaluate the quality of water for my HPLC systems? I use water Milli-Q (Millipore).

Use a column that can be run in 100% water. One of these embedded polar groups things or similar. Run a few, maybe three gradients from water to 100% organic without injecting anything (inject water). You should get consistent results from your second and third run on: very little background in general.. Now equilibrate the column with your water for one hour. Then run the same gradients again as before, preferentially for three or four times. The difference between the first run after your one hour of water and the other runs contains all the junk in the water, plus the junk from your solvent lines and the solvent bottle.
