Hi,dear members,
I am a complex task to analyze surfactant in formulated product. Any body has experience in this topic?

Another option is to measure the uptake of a fluorescent dye by surfactant micelles and analyze on a HPLC without a column - FIA.
There are also wet chemistry assays for SDS etc. Good luck.

Thanks, dear both.
I could describe my work futher. The analysis aims at qualification and quantification of surfactant used in formulated products.
Thanks in advance.

Relevant information can be found in: Schmitt: Analysis of Surfactants (MarcelDekker 2001) There are over 250 pages of separaton techniques (LC, GC, CE). Another good source could be Handbook of Sufactant Analysis by D.O. Hummel (Wiley 2000). In this book are also methods for analysis of formulated products.

If you mean surfactant as tensio active (soap) products there is also a colorimetric method for cationic anionic and non ionic products. If you want to now more about theses techniques i have some references in french
