Would anyone know of an HPLC method for analysing methanesulfonamide, CH3SO2NH2?
TIA
Tony

A very polar compound. My suggestion would be HILIC: silica column, maybe 80% acetonitrile 20% water.

Tony try looking at Agilent or waters web site. They should have a method for your compound

Thank you both for your replies. Unfortunately there were no methods for methanesulfonamide at Agilent's or Waters' web sites. We will give HILIC a go next week.

Tony,
What else do you have in your analite? We might try to develop a new method for you - free of charge. Do you have a preference for mobile phase selection or detection method.

Thank you very much for your kind offer. The other compound of note that will be present is methanesulfonylglycine methyl ester. I have no preference for mobile phase selection. The preferred method for detection would be low wavelength UV. If this is not possible RI would be the next choice.
