May be I am to late to answer your question. You can measure GABA by using ion excange chromatography with post column derivatization(TRIONE is the reagent).

I also may be too late. We have recently needed to analyze glutamine in animal feeds, and one of our specialists found an article for this. It converts GLN to GABA for analysis, and this may suit your needs.
