Hi.
We have an Agilent 1100 system, but we can't get Empower to talk to the fluorescence detector. It communicates fine with all other parts of the system though. Is there any way of getting the two to become friends without having to puchase a SAT/IN box to act as a go-between? Purchasing other software such as Chemstation is not an option, though.

The mutual agreement between Agilent and Waters (Cerity piloting Alliance and Millenium/Empower piloting 1100) is limited for detectors (at least for the moment) to conventional UV detectors (Agilent G1314A and Waters 2487).
I fear there is no direct solution.

Empower will control the VWD, MWD, DAD and the RI detector. It will not control the fluorescence detector at this point in time.
Your best best is to collect the fluorescence data through a SAT/IN box.
