Regarding validation You may try
REMINGTON "The Science and Practice of Pharmacy" 20th ed.,Vol-1
Publ: Lippincott Williams and Wilkins.
I normally rely on Plain and simple MICROSOFT EXCEL to take care of most of my statistical work.

Excel is especially useful for everything you'll encounter during method validation. Unfortuneatly my QA department won't let us use it because it's not CFR Part 11 compliant.

Ouch!..so are you planning to do all your calculations manually?
You may try contacting your HPLC system vendors for advice. We normally validate the excel sheet by comparing with the result obtained by manual calculation.
Please keep us informed. What if my QA people get the same idea????:-)
