It's not really a dye, but b-carotene has a lambda max at 450 nm. and can be used as a marker

You might try the The Sigma-Aldrich Handbook of Stains, Dyes and Indicators as a source of info. Unfortunately, I don't have one readily available here but I know that it has the information you request and covers a very wide variety of compounds.
