Yes, IC has been used in pharmaceutical industries including both suppressed and non-suppressed ion chromatography. There are a couple of monographs using ion exchange columns but not conductivity detector, so should not be regarded as ion chromatography. As far as I know, IC has not been incorporated in USP/BP.
