Does anyone have the conversion equation from millivolts to RIU??

Actually, RIU is a pretty arbitrary scale. Different manufacturers instruments will give different RI responses for teh same sample, so it is not really easily converted to mV.

Hello together
RIU are standard units based on Glycerine standard response. Please check ASTM method E1303-95. The conversion from mV to RIU depending on Gain/Range settings of the detector. Details should be described in the instrument documentation or can be obtained from the instrument manufacturer.

I'm going to guess that you are using an RI detector with it's analog output going into an A/D coverter attached to your LC data system. The specs. for your RI detector should give a factor of RIU/full-scale output voltage and your data system software should provide for selection of a conversion factor between voltage input to the A/D and the Y-scale units on the display/report. Take a look at your instrument manuals to figure this one out.
