Hi I am a yr 12 student and have been asked to do a quantitative instrumental chemical analysis research assignment. I chose to do HPLC and am having trouble finding appropriate information. If anyone could help me to answer the following questions your time and help would be greatly appreciated.

I need to list at least 3 samples that can be analysed unsing the instrument and the components that can be detected in each.

Then for one of these samples and its corresponding component I have to briefly describe the procedure used to detect and measure the component in the sample, from the time the sample is collected to the time when the concentration of the chemical appears on the readout. I then have to explain how this output is interpreted.

Finally what conclusions can be drawn from the interpretation of the data?

I know this is a lot to answer but any help you could give would be great, even answering part of it would benefit me greatly. Thankyou for your time :)

And you are only 12 years old? What sort of class requires this detailed analysis?
