Hello group members,

We need to purchase a solvent pump to be used with a centrifugal partition
chromatographer. All that is required is a steady, reliable flow from
2 to 10 ml/min and three or four solvent inlets ("channels"). Many of the pumps on the
market today seem to have a lot of extra programmable features that are
beyond our requirements here. Does you know where to purchase a simple,
*reliable* new or used pump?

Thanks in advance for any reply,

Hello, my name is Alain Foucault; I have been using many pumps with a Sanki CPC or a PC Inc CCC. the most simple one is the old Waters 6000A pump, which has three inlets through a button and is working from 0.1 to 9.9 mL/min. I used more recent Waters 510 pumps, but they have only one inlet. Another good pump is the Beckman pump, with two parallel heads which have each for inlets; with this pump you can work from 0 to 10 mL/min in gradient or mixed phase mode, and from 0 to 20 mL/min in isocratic mode. I have now a TQ model P4000 pump, with four inlets, but I will not recommand it because the flow control is much too sophisticated for CPC purpose. I did not use pumps such as Shimadzu or Jasco, but I know that they are simple and reliable. Best regards. Alain
