I am working with an older version of ChromQuest software and am having difficulty with communication between the autosampler and the software. When a sequence is established and run, the autosampler never retrieves a vial, and the message "Waiting for trigger" appears on the monitor indefinitely. I understand that the trigger is generated by the autosampler upon injection. The instrument status window claims that the autosampler is ready, but the sample line always reads "None" despite the fact that I have defined the location of the first vial.
I would appreciate any advice about this problem!

I have ChromQuest 4.0 and have also experienced this problem. Typically after re-boot of the computer and powering all the HPLC modules off/on, I can start the sequence. I haven't noticed any regularity with this problem and I haven't really tried hard to find out what is causing this problem.
ChromQuest is being replaced by Atlas, which my company is just beginning to deploy, so at this point I am not willing to expend the effort to solve the problem and I doubt Thermo would expend much effort on the problem either.
Please post here if you find out the problem.
