do you know a method to remove scratches on an working electrode of a ecd the scratches are quite deep it is a waters glassy carbon electrode
do you know how bad it is having such a problem
do yuo know what effects it has when you use a thinner gasket for amphotheric detection

You might be able to buff out the scratch. There should be a kit (that came with the electrode) to do this. If the scratch is very deep, you will have to replace it. Thinner gasket = bigger peaks, but there may be flow rate restrictions, 25 um gaskets are not gererally reccomended to go above 0.5 mL/min, although I have gotten away with it in the past.
