I am looking for a hplc method for the determination of bethanechol chloride in a pharmaceutical preparation.
Anyone out there got any ideas.

If you do not want to analyse very small quantities, a ion-pairing, RP 18 method with PIC A reagent and ACN/Water, 50/950 will do. Detection at 200 nm or less.
Much better is HPCE with indirect UV detection.

I am looking for good column besides the one recommended by USP to be used for Determination of Bethanechol Chloride by ion chromatography. I need your suggestions.

Not sure which column is specified but the IonPac CS17 from Dionex should be a good choice for this application since it gives excellent peak shape for small organic cations such as Bethanechol (although I don't believe we have specifically evaluated this compound on the CS17). Please let me know if you would like us to evaluate this columns performance with Bethanechol.
