I am trying to develop a method for the separation of isomers of amino butyric acids (2-, 3- and 4 amino butyric acids). So far I tried only RP conditions on xTerra and Luna and HILIC conditions on Atlantis but have no separation between isomers. I would appreciate help with a method or column for this task.

Among other things, this could be a function of the pH. What have you tried?

I tried ACN-water and MeOH-water with different additives/buffers with pH 2-8 isocratic and gradients for organics. I am looking for baseline resolution in order to quantitate my reaction mixture.

Dear YYI,
If nobody else is offreing a method for analysis of aminobutyric acids I would like to give a referense for the separation of alfa-, beta and gamma aminobutyric acids using our Primesep C column:

LC/MS friendly conditions (10 mmol ammonium acetate in ACN-water) with base line separation.
