Dear Henrik Pedersen,
I used Hamilton PRP-X100 column (250 X 4.1 mm)did sulfite and sulfate separation. If you can make sure that sulfite in your sample won't be oxidized to sulfate, you can do it. I used 8:2 8mM p-Hydroxybenzoic acid (pH 10.0) : MeOH. Isocratic. Ambient. Flow rate 2 ml/min. Conductivity detector. Sulfite retention is 4 min and sulfate is about 5 min. I do not know what detection limit you want to go.

Dear anonymous -
thank you for the applikation - but how kan I make sure that sulphite is stable. I am looking for an substitute instead of formaldehyde - perhaps another aldehyde eg formaldehyd.
