Relative standard deviation is the standard deviation of a set of measurements divided by the absolute value of the mean of these measurements expressed as a percentage. This parameter is nearly the same as the coefficient of variation except that the coefficient of variation uses the mean of the measured values rather than the absolute value of the mean of the measured values and is often expressed as a fraction rather than as a percentage.
