Maybe I'm in the wrong place? I am a process engineer (a BSME) trying to find a method for measuring the amount or distance that a medical needle is lubed. A fluorescing agent would do the trick. Does anyone have a suggestion of a biocompatible agent that could be added to silicone lubricant? I imagine that the quantity added must be very low so that it will not degrade the properties of the silicone and therefor the agent must fluoresce very brightly so as to be easily seen.
