Copper analysis by HPLC ?

I wonder if it is possible to analyze trace levels of copper by HPLC on traditional C18 / C8 columns ? Preferrably by complexing agents and detection in the VIS-area (400 - 800 nm)?

This is definitely possible. Here is a link to a method using a UV detection at 254 nm: (http://www.hamiltoncomp.com/product/hplc/prpx100.html ). It should work at higher wavelengths but the sensitivity will be better in the ultraviolet.
