Is the correction factor needed when we get recovery near acceptance limits?
For example, we have a product with 2 APIs in semisolid dosage form. Both have good solubility in the diluent, i.e. 0.1% HOAc in MeOH. We use internal standard in the diluent to help calculation. For substance A we get 100% recov but the other just 98.5%.
We cannot use stronger diluent because of peak shape deterioration will occur.
