I need to know how dibutyl phthalate in plum brandy can be analysed by a GC.
I would appreciate any help I can get!

This should be straightforward on a narrow-bore methyl silicone capillary (we can do diethyl phthalate in fragrances with no problem). However, HPLC in your matrix may be faster and easier due to the UV absorbance of dibutyl phthalate.

Send me a sample, and I'll analyze it for you. In order to ensure reproducibility, though, I will need three aliquots of 750 mL each.
