I am looking for analysis of drug and its metabolities in blood and hormones like steroids etc.The main problem is to remove blood/serum matrix.
If you can help in analysis of phenyl butazone in blood/ serum either by HPLC or by LCMS I will be grateful

The answer to this question is simple. First, find one of those places where they keep all of those books and magazines (it used to be called a library). Go in, sit down and start reading. All answers lie within.

That wasn't very helpful! Seriously, get on one of the search engines [I've had good experiences lately with google (http://www.google.com)] and enter the search string "phenylbutazone serum analysis HPLC". You'd be *amazed* at how much information is out there! This type of quick-and-dirty search should always be your first step.

Hope this helps!

Better yet, go to www.medportal.com and search MedlineŽ for articles (using that same search string).

Thanks for the suggestion on http://www.medportal.com lisa; it (of course) turned up published articles, while the google search returned mainly manufacturers' applications notes. Very little overlap (i.e., nicely complementary).
