Anybody have a test method to quantitate cocamidopropyl betaine in finished personal care products (which will also have anionic surfactants present)? I have all sorts of HPLC systems and detectors available (UV, DAD, RI, conductivity, ELSD, fluorescence, and MS, as well as GC and GCMS (I'm also posting on the GC board).

There is a method published in J. Chrom. A 1995, 195-198: Determination of amphoteric surfactants in cosmetic cleansing products by high-performance liquid chromatography on a cation-exchange column. This may help you?
