We are searching for a HPLC-Method which allows a separation of ornithine and aspartic acid without derivatisation. Has anyone experience with the chromatography of such compounds. May chiral columns be a solution? Thank you for your help

Dionex sells a system for analysis of amino acids which does not require derivatization. The amino acids are separated by anion exchange and detected electrochemically. Aspartic acid and ornithine are readily separated by this technique. If you are interested in more information you can visit the Dionex WebSite: http://www.dionex.com/
