I am looking for an LC/UV detection method to analyse less than 10ppm levels of methacrylic acid in water/saline solutions. Your help would be appreciated.

An old method, but will detect down to 1-2ppm with the right sample/std prep (I'm sorry I can't remember them off the top of my head!)

Column: Waters Spherisorb ODS2 5µm x 15cm 4.6mm
Mobile Phase: 5% Acetonitrile : 95% Water
Detection: UV @ 220nm

Flow rate & injection volume vary as needed. If this is required for low levels of leachables in saline buffer you might need to use a 25cm ODS2 instead - 'cos of interference from the buffer
