I use a PDA detector to screen raw materials and use the chromatograph and spectra of the individual peaks to yeah or nay the sample. However, I would like to quantitate the actual purity of the main component. The vast majority of the time, the samples are 98 -99.5% pure (data fm COA's), and the chromatography correlates. I would like to use normalized peak area to quantitate, but also use the Maxplot feature of the PDA. - For those of you unfamiliar with Millenium, each data point on the chromatograph is shown at its maximum absorbance. - Is this possible using Maxplot? I understand a more vigorous quantitation method would be external standard, but I don't need that degree of confidence. TIA.
