Hiya,
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a technique to quantitatively detect an amount of a sodium salt. The substance that I am looking at is Anthranillic Acid and I know that I have some sodium salt in the acid but I dont know a way to find out how much.
Can anyone out there help me??
Thanks.

If all the sodium in the material would be from the sodium salt of the anthranillic acid, then the simplest approach would be an analysis for sodium, such as by AA.
If other sources of sodium might be present, but no other acids, then it might be possible to perform a titration with either acid or base, monitoring the pH to determine where your mixture lies on the "titration curve" (i.e., your mixture is an acid that is already "slightly neutralized" with base).

It is easy to analyze (quantitatively)sodium ion by a cation exchange column.

It can also be done with CE and indirect UV detection

it can also be done with treating it with paradimethylaminobenzaldehyde 5% solution (10ml)
reddish yellow mixture indicate the presence of anthranillic acid .then quantitative determination can be done by spectrophotometric
method
