Hello, I have a waters refractive index detector that was recently resurrected from the supply closet. The problem is that I have no idea how to qualify it (we're in the pharmaceutical industry). I've done some looking but have not found anything yet. We need to get the OQ/PQ done quickly, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

ASTM has a standard practice for RI detectors (E1303-95) that should work for you. You can get it from ASTM:

Have you asked Waters, if they got a method?

Yes, we asked waters, and they don't have a method. Thanks

Waters does have an IQ/OQ/PQ document set for RI detectors that can be ordered directly from Waters. The part number is 71550241001 call 1 800 252 4752 for any additional information.
