Does any one have a clue as to a method that will quanitate mineral oil (not sure as to which ones) in a skin care product that contains other natural & botanical oils + fragrances. Just a starting place would be good.

There is a method for the determination of mineral oil in the code of federal regulations (21 CFR somewhere between 170 and 180). You can access and search the CFR on the web (http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/cfr-table-search.html)

Years ago, I saw a GC method using packed column chromatography. I can not for the life of me remember where it was, or what, but if you contact Supelco or one of the other chromatography suppliers, they may have such a method.
