I am having trouble trying to obtain adequate resolution for my analysis. Using a Zorbax CN column 7um, 15 x .46cm and mobile phase: 350ml acetonitrile, 650ml of water, and 1ml ortho-phosphoric acid. Resolution for my analysis must be greater than 4.0 but i am getting 3.9. How can I improve resolution without changing mobile phase? or if i must change mobile should I add water to it?

Try reducing your extra-column volume by shortening the tubing from the autosampler to the column and (most-importantly) from the column downstream to the detector. Reduce the i.d. of the tubing and remake the connections at the ends of the column using the correct fittings and ferrules. That should squeeze another 0.1 out of your system.
